Not Brett's best demo - I think he runs the boost too hot at times but there are some really nice sounds in this pedal.  I especially like the low gain stuff.

Actually think Wampler's own demo is better - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8fxozVo8BI&feature=youtu.be&hd=1

charger will hate all the talking but I don't see a prymaxe video yet ;)
I don't even have to watch the videos to know what they're going to say... "brilliantly captures the chime and growl of a vintage top-boost AC30"--just guessing based on the amp name...  I'll check whether anyone's torn one of these down yet.  Knowing Wampler, I have a pretty good idea what goes into this already.
I like the sound of these.  A little pricey.  They may be had a little cheaper after the initial flurry.  (not to be confused with furry) ;D
Hey watch it!    ;D ;D

Wampler pedals are pricey.  Brian must be doing quite well for himself as they are everywhere now.  My GC sells them.  Most of his pedals cost more than Fulltone, and other more well known boutique stuff.

Brian's stuff sounds really good, and it's typically got more engineering to it than comparable boutique pedals, more EQ control, switching between clippers or even whole circuits. I think his stuff is priced about right.  It's the other guys, selling slightly modified Tubescreamers, who I think are overpriced.

Don't get me wrong, I can build Wampler's stuff way cheaper, but I don't have to design it, support employees, and make money at it.
Agreed.  I haven't tried a lot but what I've heard was good and it's a big deal that he offers more tonal controls.  Lots of pedals sound killer with one guitar or amp and mediocre with another, and have only a "tone" control.  A pedal with a well voiced B/M/T stack can be MUCH more versatile across more gear.

I've built the Paisley, Ecstasy, and two slightly different Black 65s.  They all sounded good, though I had to mod the ecstasy to bump up the treble.  Neither the Paisley or Black 65 were easy builds, either... lots of complexity in those circuits.
Yeah, and he builds Triple Rec and SLO pedals that have even more knobs and are harder to tune.  (Biasing the super high gain pedals is supposed to be a challenge).

I know I said this before, but the Tweed 57 demos just kill and I think that pedal would be right up your alley.  Surprised you haven't built one of those yet.  That pedals sounds KILLER!  And, the kind of killer that I figure you would love.

I haven't built that one because it's got 6 JFETs and I'm not that interested in torturing myself biasing that.  If there was a buyer I'd consider it.
