The Blackstar is cool, fun, has a lot of sounds and effects for the versatile live player. But after a couple of days wanking on it, it sounds...well.....solid state.
I actually had much better tones from the Vetta. Still don't know if it can be revived though (the internal battery they found that would work happened to be on 'backorder'....so it's still a waiting game).
Got me to thinking about an old Peavey amp I used to own that was killer. So I searched it out on Youtube, and found a couple of clips. Reminds me of why I liked this amp so much. So now I might just have to hunt one down. Check these vids to see the versatility:
