The Watering Hole

first impressions... awesomeness in a box.

it sounds like a pedal, of course, but it has a very nice, thick overdrive sound - especially when stacked with the RC after it.

random noodles clip starts off with RC only on the clean channel, then adds BB, then goes gain channel with both RC and BB on - ends back on clean channel. neck/bridge changes occasionally - delay added post recording.

some tweaks to the gain staging needed... and I need more tightness on the lows from the amp's clean channel... but this is a pretty sweet range of clean through crazy gain. gain channel w/o pedals isn't on this clip, but you all have heard that - it's the same. the BB/RC combo just gives it a lofi crazy mids character that I didn't have before without it sounding like crap - this verges on crap at times but it can probably be tweaked to work great. considering I spent all of 10 minutes dialing things... not too bad.

NB: the RC is kind of important - cool without it, but awesome with it.

clip with clean channel and pedals only. (no gain channel)

Nice sound there.
I'm thinking about throwing one of these together soon.  Which would be better to have if you only had one of them?  The BB because it gets dirtier?

Been wanting to try one for years, never see it in stores though. Greg Howe, Timmons, Sheep, etc, etc....great piece of gear, congrats!

Oh, it's readily avail to buy....I just meant I've never physically been able to jack into one in a store and sample it first hand, the only two music stores in my area don't carry that brand (and they NEVER pop up used).

Firstly - sounds like sheep on form and  having fun.

secondly - tone wise - shift in spectrum/EQ
A tighter mid range focus.

Also  the beer I am drinking has hints of citrus with notes of raisons . :)

cool jam sheep

Listening to the 2nd
Like it - session jam,

what bpm

thanks for the listens!

binge: I'll do a clip with the BB solo - that's probably the one you'd want. it's doing the bulk of the tone shaping/EQ and gain. the RC makes it louder (sounding - not in dB's... though it can do that, just not doing it here) - something of a "more" button... slightly rolling treble off but otherwise pretty transparent tonally. I haven't tested it with other guitars/amps yet either... on the clip to-do list.

"Greg Howe, Timmons, Sheep, etc, etc..." lol. one of these things is not like the others...

I bought it from MusicToyz.com -- great joint, got the bogner from them too. they had a t-shirt thrown in with the amp... this time it was just a MusicToyz bottle opener / key chain... but this was like 1/15 the price... still pretty cool, I like freebies. ;)

it's 84 bpm, iirc. raisin beer? I'd drink to that but it's 7 am ;(

Sweet!  I think I just need to get a couple more caps to throw a BB together from stuff I have around here.  Hopefully it'll get close.
no BB (neck) -> BB (neck) -> BB (bridge)

neck = dimarzio cruiser
bridge = duncan JB
gain on BB at about 2 o'clock
