sounds superb... won't be long before I've got the circuit for this, but at $124 it's a decent price.  If/when I clone it, I'll put the switch on the outside, of course!

That does sound really good.  Sounds a *lot* like my Animal.  I ended up sending the DLS mk3 back, just couldn't get the bass tight enough for my tastes no matter what I tried (worked with it for nearly 2 months!), so I got a second Animal - this one behaves much better than the first although it does seem to get feedbacky if i turn on too many pedals in front of it (not drive pedals either - just a weird quirky pedal I guess).  From what I can tell in that video it doesn't sound like the SL drive suffers from loose bass like the DLS mk3, so that's good.  One thing I love about the Animal - it is a blast to play even with the gain down low, just has a singing quality to it even at AC/DC gain levels.  Hopefully the SL is the same (seems like it from the video).   I'll have to get some clips of it one of these days but have actually been working on my songs with the Mini Rec handling all the chores...

Sorry didn't mean to derail the thread - it sounds great and that price is hard to beat!
Well, I've got the Animal circuit and layout now...  I'm planning a double Rockett pedal with the Animal and Blue Note OD.  I like Xotic's stuff usually... cleaner side of things generally.
That does sound nice, both raw and in the mix setting.
Really sounds nice.  I like that.  My (see new thread soon) just got in though so I'm "OD'd out" for a while...
Can you have too many overdrives/distortions?  I'm not sure how many I even have.  I can tell you the bjfe honeybee, mad professor sweet honey, sobbat db-1, and my seventhheaven/bogner get the most work in the studio... all clones, all built on veroboard... but every one does something different so I'm always looking for more crunchy goodness...
Honestly, I probably have too many now, because I have two amps with GREAT OD channels and one has TWO GREAT OD channels.  Lately, I've been getting more and more picky about OD/Distortion pedals.  I always wanted them to sound really good of course, but now, if they aren't close to the great OD sounds I get from the amps, I won't use them so collecting them is less appealing than ever.  I hate to say this, and it will shock some, but with the sounds I get from my Budda and Mesa, I could get rid of all my distortion pedals and keep only an OD or two for solos and be completely happy.  They are that good!

I'll probably have to have one of those (if you build one to sell.)

Yeah, I think it might be pretty awesome.  I've got ideas to build other multi-pedals too... I'm especially intrigued at the idea of the overdrive/distortion/delay combo... the one pedal for a gig kind of thing.  maybe with a switchable buffer, or with a boost also.

That's what I was thinking - one pedal and a good clean amp. A boost would be a perfect finishing touch. Where would the boost go, before all, in between or after? You're giving me a bad case of GAS Charger!

Well, maybe he could add a three-way switch and let you decide...  ;)
To me, the easiest way to make sense of a multiple footswitch pedal is if it goes in order of increasing gain, so boost into overdrive into distortion into delay or fuzz.  This way you can clean boost your signal into whatever other pedal you need.
yeah, that's how I almost always do it, except many fuzzes demand to go first or at least work far better there.
