Let's make fun of the recently departed!  ::)

Due to the fact that Michael Jackson is 99% plastic , he will be melted down into lego blocks so little kids can play with him for a change.

When Farrah Fawcett arrived in heaven, God granted her one wish. She wished for all the kids of the world to be safe, so God killed Michael Jackson.

:D
I have heard so many of these jokes today.

I played my regular  "once a year" game of golf today and one of my nephews was getting constant texts of jokes had a running commentary down several fairways.

Real sick ones.

Ones I can remember,

MJ is not getting buried or cremated, he is being recycled into carrier bags so that his remains are still white, plastic  and dangerous for kids to play with.
MJ didn't have a heart attack as first reported, he was in a childrens ward and had a stroke.

Oh yeah
report just in - the cause of death may be due to an 8 year old crack habit.

You heard it here first.
You are some sick MoFo's (But I meant that in a good way)
you guys are just WRONG!   :o    ;D
It's just calling a Zebra a Zebra. ;D
;D ;D

And have no boobs. ;D

The $86 million people paid in advance to see him this summer?  :D
$30M of that, they had already sunk into the production for the show.  :o Some of these peeps bought their tickets on eBay for thousands!!  :D

I don't care what anyone says, he was a very talented individual who was taken too soon. Whether you like it or not, he influenced a LOT of the musicians that YOU idolize. One of my buddies who is a hard core blues/rock guy went to see him back in the day in Houston on the Bad tour and he was floored! All he could say was, "He IS bad!" To this day Thriller is the biggest selling album of all time, even more so now.... :(

So, I say R.I.P. Michael, you are an icon...  :'(

Oh please, we know it's Mark you idolize!  :D ;D ;D

He was/is a major icon.

Singing and dancing were on another plain.
also moved videos onto another plain.
No doubting that

I actually prefer the earliest stuff going back to when he was a kid as then you got to hear his voice at it's purest most.

He had a skin complaint that made him white, but doctor's say that skin cancer had nothing to do with his death and can't blame it on the Sunshine.

I have nothing but respect for MJ the musician, dancer.

Just finding it hard to respect the person

I have no respect for him period. The singer, dancer, is part of the person. He's a piece of shit. ;)

All his millions, and all of his adoration, and all of his talent led him to a premature death. He did not have the clarity of mind to mitigate his hungers enough to watch out for his good health. Fuck I don't admire stupidity and that is what his life was, an endless chain of stupidity, interspersed with a small amount of time in the creative.

If there is any lesson for us in his empty life and death it is a lesson to others to look at what he did, and then what he did with the results of his efforts. He could not cope with the fame and notoriety, he took narcotics to get a little peace, and he died an empty shell of a man. When his death came for him there was very little there for death to do. He already did it himself.

The result of his life is the empty adoration of millions of people who do not have a clue as to why they are alive. Let alone realize what goes on in this magnificent universe, and what a self disciplined individual can do with that wonder. Fuck that, he was a huge fool that is what he was. Yes he had talent but for what end?
But would you say the same about Elvis? He had basically the same issues. And, could you handle not being able to leave your home for years and years?

The big difference is the child molesting thing.
Hookbender — Jun 27, 2009But would you say the same about Elvis?

Sure, he died without ever knowing how to control himself, or control his awareness.
But can you really blame these men for having problems? They had no life at all except the short lived one on stage. They can't leave their home, for any reason. Media right outside their house damn near 24-7. Shit, I'd rather be middle class than have all the money in the world and not be able to enjoy it. That would be horrible. Probably as bad as being poor with the exception of the food you eat and clothes you wear.

Stupidity? He was literally born into show business. He never had a chance for a childhood, think about it. ALWAYS being stalked by the media and controlled since day one. The phsyciatrist who was called to diagnose him for the trial diagnosed him mentally as a repressed ten year old. His father was to blame for a lot of his problems.

As far as being creative? You're old enough to remember the music business before MTV. MJ did so much to evolve the video age and popular music forever, whether you care to admit it or not. Do some research son...

cgtrox  8-)

And what MJ did to little innocent children was very creative. Drawing them in to a fairy tale home complete with rides and shit. Yeah, that was creative alright. ;)

You got it all wrong, I don't blame those men for anything. I am simply stating that they died from stupidity. Stupidity in how they treated their bodies, stupidity in not being able to control their feelings.

I am not demeaning them in any way I am simply stating a circumstance that I perceive as changeable in any human being (If they wish to succeed in living a full and complete life).

No matter what circumstances they grew up in, they had the capacity to overcome them. They simply chose to indulge themselves instead of doing exercises in self control.

You see I consider my impending death my dearest friend and most revered teacher. I live a life of self control, watching what I put in my body, listening to my body for signs of distress, and modifying my habits to accommodate a healthier future, I actually believe I can extend my life beyond the point that I would have died if I kept up my bad habits, actually extend it by a few days, a few months, or even years perhaps. That is why I call those guys stupid, because the killed themselves with ignorance (stupidity)

Ok Pop, send me some money I am running a little short. I am down to my last fifty grand. (I said that because you called me son, if so send me some money)

He had other options his choices are what killed him. The music business, I could tell from early on it was a killer, that is why I never pursued it in earnest. At any time, he could have quit the biz and lived a relatively normal life somewhere in the world where he could live in society easily.

Sure Michael was creative, but all his money and fame did not mean shit to his longevity.

As for his problems he had the capacity to change the way he looked at life any time he wished. I know this because I have undergone such changes many times in my life. And I am nothing special, I just know I can change my feelings, my outlook, my location, anything needed and I simply did it with sustained effort. No big deal once you know how and anyone can know how.

I guess you think you know more about musical history than I............

I lived through those days amigo. I am 67 years old I have been involved in music since the 1950's I mean doing music, seeing shows, going to concerts, reading all of the music rags since before Rolling Stone Mag. I know all about his rise and fall amigo. It was my interest since the 1950's when I began singing in an a-capella (doo wop) group. Music was always popular, way before Michael Jackson. Way before Bill Haley and the Comets, way before Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra, Way before Caruso, way before the advent of recordings and radio. Michael Jackson was simply another cog in the wheel. A stupid one because he died early and he could have avoided it with good sense. His talent did not mean shit amigo. he died early in spite of it. A stupidity that could have been avoided.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. But just put yourself in their situation for a second.

Do you drink beer or anything every once in a while? If so, does that put you in their shoes? Are you stupid and unable to deal with your feelings?

I don't know about you, but if I were Elvis, or MJ, I'd be looking for an escape of some kind myself. They couldn't go anywhere in the world without all the media and crap.

They wanted to produce music. For that, they became a slave to it. Just because they were maybe the best.

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? If your 60 plus years old it's natural for you to start worrying about your health. Even turn to the lordy because you feel death could be in the next 20 years or so.

If you've never been trapped as they were damn near all your life, it would be hard to judge their drug problems in the catagory of stupidity, imo. Now my misspelled words, that's a different story. ;D

What I fault MJ for is the child issues. That alone is not excusable.

Even if he's innocent, which I doubt, he put himself in the position himself. More than one time. And paid millions upon millions to settle cases which points to guilt, perhaps. Not that is stupidity. It's also a sick crime. One that would have landed anyone else in prison. He's a sick fucker, I have no pity on him.
I do not believe for one second that he is guilty of sexual misconduct with a child.  I'm VERY disappointed that so many people do.  He was VERY VERY rich, and had a child like view of many things.  I BELIEVE that he loved children so much and didn't think that having them in his home, an amusement part to them, was wrong.  ONLY the freaks, and dregs of society who decided to get rich off him dreamed up the sick stuff.

Innocent until proven guilty is a great concept.  Unfortunately this country if full of people who decide that if you are a little weird (and he did get that way) that you are probably guilty of anything someone accuses you of.   SAD!

Look at the WAY he defended himself against the charges when they did happen!  Not with anger and rebuke, but with kindness and love.  These were mostly disabled, injured, sick, or otherwise less fortunate children.  If I had his money, I'd do anything I could to help those same kids, and if one of you accuse me of anything like he was accused of, I'd kick your ass first THEN ask you to reconsider your position.   ;)    Sorry boys.  I'm not even a big fan, but that is SICK stuff and you don't assume guilt because of some "get rich by suing " type trash, that probable sued McDonalds the next day when they dumped their coffee in their lap on purpose and got burned.

Howie said:
"Innocent until proven guilty is a great concept."

Usually I would agree, however I seem to remember that Michael Jackson paid them off so that there would never be a chance to be proved guilty.  That also says quite a bit about the parents that they are willing to be paid off rather than get justice for their child.  After all, why pay them off if you are innocent????
You have to remember, he was "acquitted" of all charges. Meaning there was simply not enuff evidence to convict him of any wrongdoing. Not to mention ANY parent who would allow their children to stay at a strangers house overnight, ANY stranger, celebrity or not he is still a stranger should say something about the parent. Like maybe they are planning something??

I work at the #1 trauma center in a 300 mile span. I handle all third party accident claims, (auto, slip n falls, offshore, etc.) That means I work side by side with the insurance and legal sector and I have seen many, many attempts to make claims seem a lot worse than they are or just flat out making false claims. Which is why I think the way I do about MJ. Innocent until proven guilty...

As far as "paying off" people, he was advised to do so by his management. I know the man just about as much as you do, so I couldn't say if he was arguing against them NOT to pay. That's the way it is in the music biz, there are a lot of artists who have to do what their management tells them to do, whether they agree or not.

A little weird? ;D

O.K., he gets accused the first time, pays a huge sum of money to parents. Should have been it right? But know, it happens again. Another huge payoff.

Now...let's say he fights these charges. Well first of all, the kids attorney has to prove guilt. So MJ must have decided it was better to GIVE millions and millions of dollars to the parents rather than attempt to defend himself agaist the charges he knew were coming, along with the evidence.

I remember when this shit was going down and just the little bit of info given on the tube was pretty shocking to me. And I'm sure we didn't know half the shit that really happened.

And lets get this straight, there isn't anything wrong with having kids in your home. That isn't close to what he was accused of and paid millions to avoid conviction of.

And how would you think MJ would react to the charges? He's really not a manly man ya know. Did you expect a new version of Beat It to hit the charts? Everything on T.V. is pre-written. Same with MJ's response.

If he we innocent, why didn't he fight the charges like a normal innocent human being? He had plenty of money. He was rich, like you said. He could have fought this crap forever if he needed to. Money was no problem. So...he had plenty of money, ability to hire the best of the best attorney, or attorneys, his innocent anyway, he could have given the parents of these kids a real ass whippen in the media and courts....why not fight it and set an example? Ahhhh, because he was a little guilty of something maybe?

Sorry Harv, no disrespect was meant. We use "son" as a term of endearment down here in Texas when two older guys are talking to one another.  :)

We ALL have options and choices, but under what circumstance are YOU making YOUR choices? Celebrities make dumb decisions all the time! I don't claim to know musical history as much as the next guy. I just wanted to point out MJ's role in music.

OK, think about it like this....

Elvis changed the way rock n roll was viewed.
Eddie Van Halen changed the way rock guitar was played.
Michael Jackson changed the way music videos were made.
Steven Spielberg changed the way movies were made.
Apple changed the way cell phones were used.

All of these people, artists, companies were pioneers and they made a difference that will outlive them. Sure, there were others and clones and wannbes, but the true pioneers are the ones that make a difference and their contributions to their fields are their legacy.

I'll just add that civil suits are different from criminal trials;  guilt does not have to be proven, a certain amount of likelihood does...
OJ's trial was a joke.  The brother of a friend of mine was a firefighter on the set of his last movie and was ready to testify that he saw the SEAL's teaching OJ how to kill silently with a large knife - he was never called.

The evidence that damned him in the civil trial (the shoes worn by the murderer, of which there were only 20-something ever made, and OJ had a pair) was never admitted as evidence in his criminal trial.

Kidnapping friends at gunpoint and leading the police on a long car chase (one that I saw when it passed by me) is another thing all innocent people do too.

No argument with most of what you say. Truth be told I knew that fame and fortune was a killer from looking at how the rock stars were treated back in the 60's. I could see that Hendrix killed himself with drugs because he could not stand the pressures, I opted out on the rock thing back then for many reasons. I kept playing but it became just a hobby not anything I would pursue to make money or go for the gold. But say I did pursue it, when it became bothersome I would have just up and quit the whole thing as soon as my contractual obligations were fulfilled, moved to somewhere out in the desert, where the paparazzi would have to suffer like hell to get photo's of me, and I would let the whole thing die down. But that is me, I am in control of my life because that is the most important thing to me, self control. Everything else comes far down the ladder of importance.

There are all kinds of reasons that evidence and witnesses are not allowed in a trial. Witness credibility? Possible contaminated evidence? A friend who will lie for you? Who knows? The point I was making is that O.J. did everything that you say an innocent guy should do, hire the best attorney, spend all of his money fighting the charges, etc. But, in the end, (guilty or not) he went thru the trial, hired the best attorney and was found NOT GUILTY! yet you/the public are still saying he is guilty. So, why even bother going thru all that bullshit if you are gonna say he is guilty anyway? That's what I think MJ's management was thinking...

Yeah, back in the 60's drugs were part of the culture, if you will. You kinda had to do them if you were a rockstar. I can remember sitting in the open at many a rock concert rolling joints out of my bag of weed and even openly selling drugs! People in general though, turn to drugs for dealing with difficult situations.

That would be one helluva payoff for one of those "Desertbluesman" photos!  ;) I could just see the guy, "You wanna know what I had to go thru to get this pic!?!?"  ;D ;D ;D

I was referring to Michael there tho; more reason to settle a civil suit when the burden of proof is on the defendant.  Note that the Goldman/Brown families were not interested in settling at all.

Let me pose this to all that think Michael is/was guilty.  If it really happened to your kid, would you settle?  No freaking way in hell I would...
$20 million dollars vs. Michael getting an 18 month prison sentence, getting standard reductions, and ultimately doing 5 months in a halfway house?  You've gotta be kidding.  That $20 million would go a long way towards paying for the lifetime of therapy that kid is going to need.
So any word on how much therapy that kid has received?   serious question...
On another tack, has anybody noticed what an ass wad Michael's father is?  Using his son's death to promote his new record label?  Small wonder Michael was as messed up as he was...
