I'd love him to simply inform the media and address Americans and state the fact he was doing so. Then....maybe then....he could explain just how the fuck things are gonna go with him as President. Then we would get the facts straight from him, bypassing the media. Then we could make a pretty informed opinion based on what he would do for us.
Yeah, that would be better than pointing out differences of opinion and calling each other a stupid motherfucker. I'm pretty much over all that shit. Does me no good to listen to that shit. It's kinda like watching your friend argue with his wife, ya know. Fucking pointless. The make-up sex would be kinda interesting though. 8-)

Well, personally, I'd love to watch a gentleman's battle for the presidency. The problem is, you need two gentlemen to do it. McCain clearly has no interest--his choice of Palin shows that. And all the right wing spin he's got going now, and all of his instant attack ads... it's too far gone. As much as I like the idea of a civilized contest, I also want Obama to win. Follow your suggestion, and he loses by millions of votes. You think you are above the fray--obviously, you are in the minority. And remember your instantaneous response to Palin's speech--a speech that was at least half just insults and mockery--and how you thought it was a "better speech than Obama's". I've posted them: compare the content and tone, and then tell me again how "above the fray" you are. In the moment, you love a good insult. It's only after weeks of reflection that you get all mushy on us.
O.K.....that's a fair assessment of my initial take on Palin. Pretty shallow of me, I agree. However, it was based on emotion, kinda. Meaning.....the press was all over this woman. Questioning her ability to be a mother both for the problem of her daughter and even taking advantage of her childs sickness. I was rootin for the underdog...hoping she would make a strong stand and do well with her speach. was kinda glad to see her fight back.
But yes, I did think about it a while and after the dust settled, I really listened to her speech and actually read it when you posted it. It was garbage.
So yes, I made a bad call on that one. But if I do decide to vote, it won't be based on emotion. I'd rather not vote at all if the person I vote for won't explain how he plans to better out country.
I'm not getting mushy or whatever, I simply changed my opinion of Palin based on what she stands for, the issues and lack of credible content of her speech, her pointless attacks and repetitious bullshit she spews over and over again......no mention of wtf she plans to do or any goals at all as first women VP. Nothing about helping out country pull out of this mess we're in. That isn't mushy.
