So many new guitars, you're entitled to make one mistake.  ;D

Edit:
Sorry, two mistakes, the 11R and the Gibson.  ;)
Is it a Carvin CTM-100?  This is a good mic for modification, it's built by Alctron and sold as a number of different mics, including our Apex 460, which we love with the tranformer switched to a Cinemag. I knew the power supply looked familiar.
modification? that sounds like fun. got any links?
Yep. Give or take a few changes, this is your mic...

A list of mods is found here.  We replaced the transfromer with a Cinemag, and swapped the tube, and there was much rejoicing.

Look on the web and there are lots of others.

There's also this approach, which requires no new transformer, removes some components, and uses a 6072 tube. These are the mods I'm planning next.

The — Dec 03, 2012yeah, this is just the mixing/listening room. the recording room is on the other side. the tube mic power supply is actually for my carvin tube mic and the monitors are event 20/20Ps. the eleven rack is mostly for guitar tones and, for the moment, it is also my mic pre. it's connected to an rme hdspe aio via spdif (back and forth for reamping)

Did you ever check out tthe POD HD Pro?  Room looks killer, btw....
well i do have a pod hd, and i was thinking of the hd pro before. i just never really pulled the trigger. i still may get one along with a kemper eventually
