I have not seen a post by him on my feed since the "believers thing". I think he just misunderstood what I was talking about. I never question anyone's religious beliefs, I just meant that anyone who believes blindly ought to have a little bit personal research on what one is taught by the religions, the schools, and society in general. I got nothing at all against any religious belief, nor do I debate religion or politics for the most part, other than to say I am not religious. I am not a believer but I am also not a disbeliever, I just think everything is a possibility. Jesus, possible, Moses, possible, Mohammad, possible, Buddha, possible. All of them brought some good news to the planet. Why should I demean their teachings since what they say for the most part is good news.
I always liked Howie, too bad.....

Yeah it has slowed down quite a bit, not only from those who came from Pod Forums, but others who came from the Digitech GNX forums as well. I guess we all kinda wandered away from those interests a bit. Although I have been toying with the idea of another Bean the HD Bean just for recording purposes.

The way he could make not-so-veiled references to politics and religion while proclaiming loudly that the threads were not about that? Genius.
His powers of suggestion--he managed to get us all listening to tons of different music suggested by each other, even if he never listened to any of the suggestions himself--and gave me a new appreciation for listening to music alphabetically.
His ability to look at facts subjectively, while most of us are so limited to an objective reading of facts--again, genius.

I think that was somewhat different. As I recall I simply stated that I had just drunk some Budweiser and for some reason Fingers took offence to that and then left.
This thread seems to have started out with DBM making a statement and then lots of others piling in to stick the boot into Howie for some reason.

I love Budweiser, not the beer, the company. I once worked in their brewery in Jacksonville Florida as a tile setter, employed by a subcontractor ML McDonald a Boston painting firm, best job I ever had in construction.
Everyone should buy Bud to pay Anheiser Busch for all the hours I got paid for doing nothing, not because I was lazy, it was the way the whole crew worked, I just followed the crowd. ;D

I've hung out with Howie and I've jumped on his shit in person--he's a grown man, not a child. He knows who I am, and I know he is. I think he's being overly sensitive--but I also think there's a certain level of intolerance on the internet where people have grown less okay with the idea of interacting with each other if they don't agree politically or religiously.
Eventually, we can either all have only friends who agree with us, and the schism in the country can grow and fester, or we can man up and be respectful of each other, even if we disagree... I've got lots of very conservative friends, and lots of friends far more liberal than me, and I've got no problem challenging them on anything, and expect the same from them. I'm not going to run away because someone rightly or wrongly calls me a liberal, hippie, commie, whatever. But it's a lot easier to only hear good things about yourself.

Be that as it may, it gets old seeing it when it doesn't seem like friendly banter anymore. Howie didn't say anything to me about you. This is specifically my observation. Maybe its my own problem.

Now back then, it required a thick skin to even read the threads, much less be involved in the argument. And they straight up.... ended up being cuss each other, red hot arguments. Slamming the hell out of each other at times. But, when it was over, or on another thread, we may agreeing with each other on something. And, even though things got heated, and I took a shitload of heat back then, I never got really personally mad, kick ass, pissed the hell off..... 1 time with one person.
It's hard being a conservative. ;)
