tscholz — Mar 05, 2009its a proven fact that extremist on both sdies of the aisle don't care about america.
So true. Their ideology-fueled egos get in the way.
If the republicans cared about america they would roll up thier sleeves and get involved, not spend 4 years trying to discredit a president. The same goes through with extremist on the side.
they blamed bush for thier lot in life.
Except for the extremely stupid, most who railed against Bush actually wanted him held accountable for the ILLEGAL things he did. Obama's not breaking any laws, and he's not getting people killed for no reason. And if you paid attention, the Democrats worked really hard to get something resembling their positions represented in all those dogshit bills that Republican Congress pooped on our country.
the country should be run by a new party or atleast more indepents who are really for the united states of america.
The country should be ruled by reason, which is why I've always been for the abolishment of political parties. Political parties turn things into black-white issues, and they're the direct enemy of reason. The world isn't black and white. Issues are not black and white. There's more thought involved in all this, or at least there should be.
It seems to me Obama's actually trying to do that, and trying to get others to do it as well, which is a big change from the crap we'd been dealing with since the Republicans decided to endlessly attack Clinton when he took office in 1993 instead of helping solve the problems the country was facing.
And there should be a lot less money and lobbying involved. Abolish parties and lobbyists, and we might actually end up making rational decisions instead of bought or ideological ones.
America is too stupid for its own good, and that will remain our problem until our society considers being smart and competent and having good critical thinking skills a GOOD thing.
Until then: "What's on TV tonight?" ::)

P.S. I'm not saying I'm not part of the problem. I can just see it, and I find it frustrating (even in myself).
P.P.S. As a side note, I love the way nationalized health care is demonized even though it frees up business to focus on business, instead of having to be the welfare providers for its workers. And it frees people up to actually go wherever they like, to whatever doctor they want, and actually never have to worry about medical bills. I worry about them, and avoid the doctor sometimes as a result, and I have pretty good insurance, which should tell you something about how fucked up our system is.
