I had a chance to go see Dave Meniketti live Thursday night here in Largo, FL. He's been one of my favorite players since I first heard him play in 1980. They played for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Excellent show. They have a pretty extensive catalog.

listened to David Torn's new Only Sky a few times while out in the yard today. I really like it!
have to say though, and I don't mean this as either a slight to mr torn or an egoistic boast, but if that's an "album quality thing" today, then I think what I do might actually count as such... maybe I'll think more seriously about soundcloud... or something.
Scott Henderson's latest Vibe Station... playing is unreal. just ridiculously good guitar player and killer band. BUT... I don't really like the songs that much. :\
fun to listen to a couple times but the abrupt chord changes on the majority of tracks make it more of a challenge to listen to than a joy.
This thread needed to be revived! It's been so long I'm not sure what's been missed, but try to find the two albums by Tin Spirits (they aren't on YouBoob). Scorch is their latest and Wired To Earth was their first. Good stuff! :)

You had mentioned the Tin Spirits in the Slash post. I listened to all of the Studio recorded TS that I could find at that time. You can find most of their first album and several songs from Scorch. I liked it well enough that I'll give it a re-listen. I've been stupid busy flying and shop work, so I don't have much new tunes to report about.
